Why is it useful?
In an industrial environment, consumption is often a combined result of several machinery groups, production lines, shifts and technological processes. Without a smart measurement, it is difficult to see exactly which areas have peak loads, where undue consumption occurs, and how energy demand changes along with operating processes. OLM equipment is able to transmit data from several measuring points to an online system where trends, alarms and reports can be handled in one place. This allows for faster technical response and a more accurate management review.
The solution supports load monitoring, cost separation, return to energy efficiency improvements and recognition of operational errors. It can be used in production plants, warehouses, technological premises, machinery groups and main distribution points. Alarm logic helps to indicate in time the limit is exceeded, data loss or unusual consumption patterns. Based on the measured data, it is easier to plan intervention, maintenance or optimisation of consumption. The aim is to ensure that industrial energy is not an ex post statement but a daily operational tool.
